Job Description:
As a Security Analyst – Level 2 at Cyber Guards, you will play a pivotal role in our managed security services, leveraging your expertise to detect, analyze, and respond to sophisticated cyber threats. Working within our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will collaborate with senior analysts to provide proactive threat hunting, incident response, monitoring, and respond to security events to ensure our clients’ systems remain secure and resilient.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security events and alerts generated by our clients’ systems using our SIEM platform and other security tools.
- Perform in-depth analysis of security incidents to determine their root cause, impact, and potential remediation steps.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery, in response to security breaches and incidents.
- Develop and implement security controls and countermeasures to mitigate emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in investigating and responding to security incidents, including malware infections, suspicious network activities, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security documentation, including incident response procedures, security policies, and client-specific playbooks.
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization, including account management and engineering, to ensure effective communication and coordination of security-related activities.
- Take part in documenting security incidents and basic analysis under the guidance of senior SOC analysts.
- Participate in SOC daily operations, including report generation and compliance checks.
- Mentor and provide guidance to security analysts – level 1 & Jr, helping them develop their skills and expertise in cybersecurity.
- Engage in continuous learning activities, including security training and certification preparation.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices through continuous learning and training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field OR 3-5 years of experience in information security, SOC operations, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of security technologies and concepts, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall management, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with common IT, networking protocols, operating systems, cloud environments, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess and respond to security incidents.
- Experience with security assessment and testing methodologies, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex security issues and provide effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
